Product description Littmann cardiology III stethoscope. This outstanding, versatile stethoscope features two patented tunable diaphragms (adult and pediatric) for listening to both low and high frequency sounds. Designed for acoustical excellence, the "two-tubes-in-one design" eliminates noise artifact that can be created by the tubes rubbing together. The pediatric side of the chest piece easily converts to a traditional bell by simply replacing the diaphragm with the nonchill bell sleeve included with each stethoscope. Features a solid stainless steel chest piece, nonchill rims, adjustable double-leaf binaural spring and patented Littmann soft-sealing ear tips. Includes a five-year warranty.

Customer Reviews Littman stethoscope -- 2010-03-05 Recieved product in timely fashion. Left at post office which was nice since very expensive item, didn't want to take the chance of it going missing!!
Complete -- 2009-12-08 Came complete in its original box, brand new, with manuals and extra earplugs
Very nice package for a gift and the brand talks by itself
Very happy -- 2009-11-23 Works great, comfortable, easy to use (flipping it over to use the bell is NOT hard, no matter what some people say). I'd recommend a color other than black, because everyone gets black and so it is easy for your stethoscope to go missing...
Broke in half on the first use -- 2009-10-27 Upon putting the Littmann Cardiology III on for the very-first-time, one of the arms broke in half. Littmann is sending me a replacement but I have to wonder about how reliable this brand really is. Buy something else.
One of the best acoustically, did break after 4 years of daily use. -- 2009-10-17 I've owned the Cardiology III in different versions for many years (I think 1997 onward), I remember trying colleagues and finding the acoustic quality fantastic compared to the cheaper Littmann that I used - since then I have been hooked to this model. It does have a great quality build and feel above a lot of other models and brands. My recent one broke due to fatigue of the spring in the neck part of the unit (I use it numerous times a day for years), I did think that was odd though. 3M repaired it for me at the cost of return shipping to their service center since it was still under warrantee. I had lost the receipt but they used the serial number to confirm mine was still less that 5 years since manufacture. I was happy they fixed and serviced it.
Ultimately this is a great unit and assists me very much with patient care on a daily basis, the best reason to own a good stethoscope.
I do think they should have a longer warrantee (7 or 10 year on the main parts).
