Actually, 3.5 Stars: more than OK, but not GREAT -- 2010-02-20
This pulse ox does its job. Sometimes it's weird and doesn't get a HR or sats fast enough or at all, and there's is no nail polish on the fingers and/or the fingers are warm enough, BUT sometimes it'll get the HR and sats and there is nail polish, or the fingers are slightly cold. I have to leave it on for 20 to 30 seconds if the readings seem erroneous, and the true readings will come in; it can start at a HR of 54, but then suddenly start climbing to 74 (which I would know the low 70s are the baseline), or the sats will be 88 then the readings will slowly climb to 98 (the true baseline). If the readings seems weird, I usually back it up with another pulse ox at the same time. I've seen other pulse ox's of this type and size with more bells and whistles, but I'm happy with mine and it does it's job 95% of the time, but next time I might have to check out the more expensive ones.

Shipping time was great from this company was great. The package includes a manual, TWO AAA batteries, black carrying case that has a flap and velcro to secure it, a lanyard for the case, and a lanyard for the pulse ox itself.

Finger Oximeter 300C12 Review -- 2010-02-18
This oximeter seems to be accurate. I took it to my doctor's office and compared the results between the professional model they use and the one I bought. There were only 1 point difference between the two devices. I often compare the pulse readout with that obtained from our wrist blood pressure monitor and find the pulse rate results within one to two points. That is totally acceptable! The finger oximeter is easy to use and is reliable. It definitely meets our needs for oxygen concentration levels as my wife and I both suffer from sleep apnea and need to know what our oxygen levels are to determine if additional oxygen is required.

OK but awkward to use -- 2010-02-17
It's a little too bulky for it's purpose.
In addition women with smaller hands /like me/ might have problem
getting accurate results.
Worked for my husband very well, however I had to repeat
checking my results because my finger didn't get enough grip for the sensor to read it correctly.
I will prefer something that could be worn on the wrist.

Reliable and function well for the price -- 2010-02-13
I am a Respiratory Therapist and I purchased this pulse ox 4 months ago. I use it everyday and have found it to be very accurate. It is lightweight, easy to carry & read, and works well on all points with poor circulation. I would recommend this product to RTs, PTs, and RNs who want an affordable and accurate pulse oximeter.

Good bang for the buck -- 2010-02-09
Great price and works as described. I'm a Med/Peds resident that works at 5 different hospitals. I love having this thing in my pocket. Very useful in clinic when I want to check pulseOx during my physical exams. It has also been handy during rotations in the Emergency Dept or as a first responder to codes. I bought this 3 months ago and still haven't needed to change the batteries yet. Highly Recommended.
