Excellent product - very similar to the ones used in doctors offices. This fetal doppler works very well. We can hear the baby's heartbeat loud and clear, and it was easy to find (unlike some other fetal dopplers). Ours is a high risk pregnancy and this helped put our minds at ease. Be sure to order the gel with it, as it doesn't work too well without it.

My husband and I decided to purchase this product for our second pregnancy, as our first ended in miscarriage at 6 weeks. Having gone through such a loss as a first time experience, we found ourselves nerve-wracked over the thought of losing our second pregnancy. This device is safe and easy to use, and gives parents in similar situations the peace of mind they are looking for. While it obviously cannot predict or prevent miscarriage, hearing your little one's heartbeat in between doctor's visits certainly provides an added sense of calm. If anyone has shared a similar experience to ours, and is on the fence about purchasing a fetal heart monitor, I strongly recommend purchasing this product. For the price, the quality you'll receive is immeasurable. And of course, the peace of mind is priceless!

I just got this doppler in and have already had success with it! I'm only 9 weeks and 1 day, too. Initially, I did not pick up anything other than stomach noise and my own heartbeat, but I tried again with a full bladder and both me and my husband heard the heartbeat! It was very soft so the reader did not give me a heart rate reading, but we heard the little heart beating away! I was given a very grim prognosis at the start of this pregnancy and this doppler has already given me the peace of mind I need!

I bought the doppler on a friends recommendation. I've used it a few times, you have to make sure that all the wires are plugged into each other. I think I wish I had rented a $500 for $40 x mos insted. i can hear the heartbeat but it's little faint. It's convenient if I need to hear it immediately but it takes a little work to find it.
