Worked for two weeks then died -- 2010-03-06
The scale worked great for 2 weeks then died. Kept showing 0.00, I tried several different types of batteries and it didn't make any difference. I notice a few other customers had the same problem. I took it apart and I see where a wire has come undone, not a very quality build seems to be the problem. On the bright side Amazon did refund me the price of the scale.

If you can get it under $20 then you are good. On the bright side...it looks like it cost a lot of money.

it worked like a charm for 2 days and eventually just doesn't work. Whenever I try to step on it, it blinks as 00.00 lb/kg. That's it. I got it when the price was reduced to $15. No wonder its a substandard product.
Doesn't work all the time -- 2010-03-06
The scale worked the first week we got it, but it then started to have startup problems. When stepping on the scale, it would either start but freeze, or not start at all. I removed the batteries to "reboot" it and it seems to work for now. It's a nice scale but if its going to have startup problems, I would not recommend this scale.
It eats the battery -- 2010-03-06
This is not an expensive scale, and it doesn't have any fashionable functions. It did do its job well: large number to be seen easily, and there is a time delay on the display.
However, it uses 4 AAA batteries, which can't last for more than 2 weeks. I only step on scale once or twice a day, and I don't think there is a problem with my battery(I have tried different batteries). For this problem, I won't recommend it to any one.
